The Prudential North to Shore Festival in New Jersey has become a beacon of cultural vibrancy, bringing together a tapestry of arts, music, and ideas under the summer sun. This annual extravaganza stretches across the iconic cities of Asbury Park, Atlantic City, and Newark, transforming them into hubs of creativity and celebration. The North to Shore Festival, launched in 2023, features all the talent, diversity and creativity that New Jersey has to offer, packed into three extraordinary weekends of performances, screenings, parties and conversations in three of the state’s most iconic cities.
Hosted by Asbury Park, Atlantic City and Newark, the North to Shore Festival brings together events at more than 100 venues for an over-the-top showcase of Jersey excellence, aligned with Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy’s vision of a celebration worthy of the Garden State’s long legacy of innovation in the arts, film and technology.
Alongside the first season’s headliners — which included Jersey-born pop diva Halsey, hip hop legends Eric B. & Rakim, classic rocker Santana, world-famous Latin songwriter Ricardo Arjona, Brazilian superstar Marisa Monte and R&B songstress Jazmine Sullivan — the inaugural festival presented scores of concerts, film screenings, art exhibits and expert panel discussions on innovation in technology, climate-change, healthcare and business, as well as scores of performances and events, many of them free, featuring artists who make their creative home in New Jersey.
Back for 2024
The festival was a success in its first year, drawing an audience of nearly 250,000 to more than 300 shows in more than 100 venues in three of New Jersey’s most arts-rich cities.
So we’re bringing it back!
In 2024, the festival will launch in Asbury Park from June 10 to June 16, swing down the shore to Atlantic City June 17 through June 23 and conclude in Newark from June 24 through June 30.
Once again, both global headliners and artists who make their homes in each festival city will take the stage in front of an audience drawn from across the state and around the region. The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) will again produce the festival, in partnership with a cohort of other live entertainment presenters and producing partners. Headliners to be announced in March 2024.
The Prudential North to Shore Festival is set to be a highlight of New Jersey’s summer events, offering a vibrant celebration of arts and ideas.
