Thanksgiving is a special time of year to reunite with those we care about most! As millions traverse the world and come together, it gives us an opportunity to express our gratitude for family and friends; not only here today but also from days gone by. It's symbolic how after High School many look forward each year just to catch up with old acquaintances - providing moments that are filled with warmth, love and joy.
This year Holy Spirit High School held its annual Thanksgiving Day Football Game with rival Atlantic City High School. The school added a tailgate party in the cafeteria prior to the game where alumni gathered for cheer and camaraderie. Game Announcer Andy Applegate and his family were honored for his contributions to announcing the high school games for many years. Andy called the 2nd half of the game in the newly renamed Applegate Press Box. This is the 94th year for the annual Thanksgiving Day Game with Atlantic City High School and the oldest rivalry in the county. Holy Spirt went on to win the game 62-34 with Gavin Roman going on to break the States reception record. So much fun, I hope the tradition continues. There aren't many Thanksgiving games left. Check out the photos below. Now its turkey time!
